The second meeting of the Task Force on Displacement took place on 13-14 September 2018, in Bonn, Germany. The aim of the meeting was to finalize the "recommendations for integrated approaches to avert, minimize and address displacement related to the adverse impacts of climate change” as mandated by COP21. 

The report provides comprehensive information on the technical work undertaken by the Task Force since its establishment. The report includes information on organizational and procedural matters (Chapter I), information on its membership (Annex I), the workplan of the Task Force (Annex II), and the terms of reference of the Task Force (Annex III).

Chapter II introduces the contextual background in which the recommendations were developed. Chapter III presents the recommendations for integrated approaches to avert, minimize and address displacement related to the adverse effects of climate change arising from the implementation of the workplan of the Task Force. The short summaries of the technical outputs of each activities of the Task Force are contained in Chapter IV. The hyperlinks to access the full outcome products by the Task Force are compiled in Annex IV.

The report containing the final recommendations of the Task Force was submitted to the Executive Committee of the Warshaw International Mechanism, who will bring it before climate change negotiators at the 24th Conference of the Parties in December 2018 in Katowice, Poland.
